When the chilly weather comes each fall, for some reason it makes me want to break out the crock pot and start slow cooking. The name of this book is a little misleading because the $3 is per person, not the total cost of the meal. But that’s still pretty good–much cheaper than eating out, right? I’ll take Apple-Raisin Pudding Cake and Cheddar Potato Chowder over a Big Mac & Fries any day.
