Review | Conscious Box

November 17, 2011 by Brittney 6 Comments

Although one may argue that convenience is the primary reason that so many people do their shopping online now, I have another theory: people just like getting stuff in the mail. I mean, it’s true, right? Something about getting a big box in the mail makes me feel like a kid again. And if what’s in the box is a surprise? That makes it even more exciting!

Conscious Box
Conscious Box is a company that’s all about those fun surprises. Each month that you subscribe to Conscious Box, you’ll receive a box from them that contains handpicked products. While there are other services like this, what I love about Conscious Box is that it’s all about products from ethical, sustainable businesses. So not only do you get that surprise in the mail each month, but you get to learn about some awesome companies and products. (And you might get some old favorites too–helloooo, Kind Bars!)

The items in each month’s Conscious Box are natural and many are organic too. Each month has a different theme and items included in the box are somehow tied to that theme. I received the November Conscious Box and I was really impressed with it–it was obvious that great care was taken not only in choosing the box’s contents, but even in packing and wrapping it. I’m a huge fan of the fact that Conscious Box is committed to working with green brands, not brands that claim to be green when they’re really not. This commitment was evident to me when I saw the items in the November box:

Conscious Box Contents
Honest Kids Drink Pouch
Kind Bars (these are so satisfying and sustaining–love them!)
Glee Gum
Pharmacopia Body Wash and Lotion
100% Pure Body Cream
Mary’s Gone Crackers Cookies
Funky Monkey dried fruit
Cocoa Well supplements

Each box uses recycled materials and tissue paper and is the perfect size for reusing in a number of different ways (mine is going to be used for Christmas gift wrapping!).

A single month subscription to Conscious Box is $12, while a 3 month subscription is $33 and a 6 month subscription is $64.
