Need It | Fall Coats Under $50

October 6, 2011 by Brittney 6 Comments

You can get a decent fall jacket for under $50–for real. I know people often say that you should spend more money on coats so they last longer, but I have several fall coats from Old Navy and Forever 21 that have been going strong for a few years. Look for items that are marked down from their original price (check out the super cute coat from Delia’s above–that’s an almost $80 discount!) and, as always, when you’re shopping at stores like Forever 21, look at the overall quality of the garment before making your purchase. If the seams are loose or sloppy before you’re even out the door, it’s not a good buy.

Fall coats under $50
1. Women’s Belted Military-Style Jacket // Old Navy $49.94

2. Margaret Woven Coat // Forever 21 $44.80

3. Urban Renewal Vintage Tweed Blazer // Urban Outfitters $49.00

4. Toggle Button Coat // Forever 21 $34.80

5. Merona Water Repellent Long Trench // Target $49.99

6. Wool Blend Coat // Forever 21 $34.80

7. Nadia Band Coat // Delia*s $29.99 (was $109.50)

8. Double Breasted Coat // H&M $29.95

These coats are great! I prefer to spend less money on coats because I like to change them up. Like you, I’ve purchased a few from Old Navy which have held up wonderfully.

Yeah, if you’re buying a classic coat that’s going to last several years, spending more money makes sense. But otherwise, I don’t think I can justify spending a lot…

I think the trench fad will pass quickly so I definitely do not want to spend a lot. Love that Target coat!

I was at Target last week and I was really surprised that they had a lot of nice coats! It totally makes sense to spend a little less on trendy clothes and invest more in classic pieces.

Wow I love your new site!! These coats are great but I think my favorites are the Old Navy jacket and the tweed blazer!

Thank you! Blazers are great for fall coats because you can dress them up or down. 🙂
